Obituary

Jon Edward Wilber, age 84, of Allen Park, Michigan, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2026. Born on March 13, 1942, in Romeo, Michigan, Jon lived a life marked by devotion to his family, faith, and simple pleasures.

Jon served as a Deacon at Bethel Assembly of God in Lincoln Park, where he was a steadfast presence and spiritual guide to many. A man of quiet strength, he found joy in fishing, boating, woodworking, and spending time on his porch up north. Above all, he cherished moments playing with his grandchildren, creating memories that will be treasured by his family.

Jon leaves behind a loving family: his devoted wife Beverly Wilber; children Geri (Charles), Crystal, and Cynthia (Bernard); grandchildren Rebecca, Jennifer, Bobbi Jo, Amanda, Jacob, Michael, Kayleigh, Emma, Madison, and Noah; as well as 17 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren who will carry forward his legacy of love and kindness, and his loving brother, Lee (Mary Jo).

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 22, 2026, from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, and Friday, October 23, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 8:00 PM. A service to honor Jon’s life will take place on Saturday, October 24, 2026, at 10:00 AM.

Jon Edward Wilber will be deeply missed by all who knew him, remembered fondly for his gentle spirit, unwavering faith, and the warmth he brought to his family and community

  • We are so sorry to hear of Jon’s passing. We absolutely loved having you as Uo North neighbors and always looked forward to seeing you travel up. Our children enjoyed going over to help Jon & they looked forward to him always finding & returning/delivering all of their golf balls that “mysteriously “ made it to your side of the road. I will miss baking & bring him treats. We pray love & peace over you as you cherish memories of your life together. All of our Love, The Ogden Family❤️ Chris & Jenny Ogden and Family
